Dermal fillers are small gel injections, typically made of hyaluronic acid, collagen or calcium hydroxyapatite. Dermal fillers are used to fill in wrinkles and add volume to soft tissues. They are used effectively to lift and eradicate hollowness in the cheekbones and in the temples and provide volume to the overall face.
Dermal fillers we offer include Restylane, Juvederm, Voluma, Belotero, and Radiesse as well as the variations of these.
Juvéderm is a colorless gel that is injected into facial tissue to smooth wrinkles and folds, especially around the nose and mouth (nasolabial folds). It is made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the skin, keeping it hydrated and adding volume. Due to their advanced technology, the latest generation of Juvéderm® HA fillers provides versatility and flexibility for harmonious rejuvenation and enhancement of the face.
The Juvederm® collection contains various products that offer different benefits to areas of the face to lift cheeks, iron out wrinkles, smooth parentheses lines or plump the lips. The type of Juvederm chosen will depend on the location and severity of the patient’s wrinkles, creases, and volume loss.
Restylane fillers are the broadest portfolio of fillers in the U.S. It is most commonly used for lip enhancement (volume and contouring). It is indicated for mid-to-deep dermal implantation to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. Furthermore, it is known to be the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid filler for cosmetic injection.
The Restylane family of products includes Restylane Silk, Restylane Lyft, Restylane, Restylane Refyne and Restylane Defyne. These products contain lidocaine which reduces pain during injection and post-injection, resulting in an improved treatment experience. These products produce a natural volume under the wrinkle, which is lifted up and smoothed out. The results can often be seen immediately for younger-looking skin.
Unlike other dermal fillers that use hyaluronic acid, Radiesse uses gel microspheres made of calcium hydroxyapatite. It is used for smoothing moderate to severe wrinkles, correcting volume loss and improving skin texture on the face, backs of hands, neck and upper chest. It provides instant volume, lifting and contouring for the whole face and even improves overall skin quality.
Radiesse offers a lot of benefits, including the immediate results of some recontouring regions of the face, such as jaw-line contouring, or liquid rhinoplasties. Common side effects include bruising, swelling, itching, redness however, a lot of this depends on the area of injection. Radiesse provides long-lasting results that typically last more than 12 months. With Radiesse, the body is being stimulated to produce new collagen. Individual results may vary – some results can last for up to 2 years. Age, gender, skin type, and lifestyle can affect the duration of the results.
However, if you have been injected with other dermal fillers before your plan of getting Radiesse, be sure to consult with a physician first.
Belotero is one of the newer dermal fillers to achieve facial rejuvenation without surgery. Its formulation integrates into your skin through an injectable filler to erase facial wrinkles. An injection of BELOTERO® Dermal Filler can restore natural-looking volume to your lips while enhancing the curves of your smile. Its formulation is designed to treat moderate-to-severe wrinkles and etched lines above and around the lips.
Belotero® offers various hyaluronic acid fillers that support your skin by adding volume and filling unwanted wrinkles. You can achieve correction of moderate to deeper lines with this dermal filler selection including: nasolabial folds, glabellar lines, eri-oral wrinkles, philtrum columns, oral commissures, and marionette folds and tear- trough filler. Furthermore, Belotero® provides restoration of facial volume and skin rehydration.
Kybella®, although not exactly a dermal filler, is an injectable treatment used for reducing the appearance of a double chin. It contains a synthetic form of a digestive acid found naturally in the body, known as deoxycholic acid. When injected, it destroys fat cells under the chin, which are reabsorbed by the body, leaving the skin substantially tighter and the jaw more contoured. Because Kybella effectively destroys the fat cells in your chin, the results are permanent once your injections are completed.
While dermal fillers excel at providing volume, Kybella excels at dissolving fat. It works exceptionally well in achieving fat removal from the face and is well suited to the chin. (Other areas may include, buccal fat pad reductions, bra-line fat reduction).
Sculptra is an injectable filler that stimulates your skin’s own natural collagen production to increase overall facial volume. It contains poly-L lactic acid (PLLA) that provides you with a tight and smooth skin by stimulating collagen production on almost any part of the body. It is commonly injected in facial areas including cheeks, the area under the eye, and the area around the mouth and nose (nasolabial fold). One of the many benefits of Sculptra is its ability to provide subtle yet long-lasting results.
Typically, Sculptra is delivered in three treatment sessions spaced about 8 weeks apart. One of the big benefits of Sculptra Aesthetic is how long the results last once they are visible. The results from Sculptra last two years. When you have a Sculptra injection, the material that I inject will fill the space under your skin in much the same way that hyaluronic acid fillers do.
Versa™ is another kind of hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal filler manufactured by Revanesse®. It is specifically designed to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, providing the perfect balance between smoothness and volume. It is a multi-purpose dermal filler that leverages state-of-the-art production methods, optimal ingredients and rigorous quality testing to provide remarkable results. Thanks to the spherical particle shape, your body will quickly accept these foreign particles and break down more slowly over time.
Fortunately, it is a minimally invasive treatment that provides immediate results. Plus, it can provide results that last for up to 12 months. However, some characteristics make it unique and may influence your decision to try one over the other, such as its nearly non-existent post-injection swelling. The advanced manufacturing technology makes these particles uniquely spherical and uniform, providing smooth and natural results.
